Terms of use · Revised 3 November 2026
Terms of use
These terms apply to the use of tapdoor, a sign-in relay that returns visitors from their identity provider to the partner site that requested the sign-in. By allowing your browser to pass through tapdoor as part of such a sign-in, you accept them.
In short: tapdoor forwards one redirect and keeps nothing. Your account, and all that follows the sign-in, belongs to the partner site.
1. The service
tapdoor performs a single function. It forwards a browser arriving from an identity provider, together with the authorisation code and state parameter attached to the return address, to the partner site that initiated the sign-in. It offers no account, content, storage or other function of its own.
2. Permitted use
The relay may be used only as part of a sign-in that you started yourself on a partner site. Sending requests to this host by other means, in particular automated, repeated or crafted requests, is not permitted and may be blocked without notice.
3. Partner sites and identity providers
The account that results from a sign-in belongs to the partner site and is governed by that site's own terms and policies. Your use of the identity provider is governed by the provider's terms. tapdoor accepts no responsibility for either.
4. Availability and changes
The relay is operated with reasonable care but without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability. It may be modified, suspended or discontinued at any time. Where such a change affects a partner site, that site informs its members through its own channels.
5. No warranty and limitation of liability
The relay is made available without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the relay.
